FTC Delays the Red Flags Rule for the Fourth Time

The Federal Trade Commission has postponed enforcement of the Red Flags Rule once again, continuing to put consumers at risk of identity theft.

This is the fourth time The Federal Trade Commission has delayed enforcement of the “Red Flags Rule” requiring implementation of identity theft prevention measures. The latest deadline for compliance was set for November 1st, 2009  which has now been moved to June 1st, 2010.

Only time will tell if the fourth official deadline will actually be upheld.
